Brussels, Belgium

Brussels is the capital of Belgium and the Defacto capital of the EU.  Although the three most common languages spoken here are Dutch, German and French, there are seven other languages commonly used.  Traces of humankind go back to the Stone Age. While Brussel sprouts became popular crops here in the 16th Century, Belgium is also known for waffles and chocolates.

The city meanders through cobbled stone streets with road construction or repair seemingly at every turn.  Though that seems like it would be annoying, it's actually part of the charm of this old world city.  Very much like the hustle and bustle of New York, Brussels has great shopping and dining as well as some pretty fantastic architecture.
