How did I get here? I've frequently quoted a phrase I found online: If traveling were free, you'd never see me again. I had really only been outside the US a few times, but when I went to Europe in December 2022, I felt more like myself than I did in my own apartment. I felt a kinship to the places I visited: Paris, Zurich, Amsterdam and Brussels, and a burning desire to return before I even unpacked my suitcase. I have decided to combine two of the things that make me the happiest, writing and traveling, sell everything that doesn't fit into a suitcase, grab my laptop and create an amazing and beautiful new life traveling and writing about my experiences. A Little About Me
I'm from the beautiful coastal town of Naples, Florida, USA, a favorite destination for many travelers worldwide. As a fifth generation native, I've witnessed a lot of growth and I've often written about my personal experiences living in this sunny paradise. My published writings include books, newspaper articles, and blogs. I was a wife and mother literally right out of high school, then a very young, divorced mother, a second wife and (try-to-be) stepmom, super young grandmother and far too soon widow. My family has been my life. The years have passed, my work-life changed unexpectedly, and I found myself with a lot of time on my hands. I've always dreamed of traveling extensively.
