Crepes and Cocoa

Paris, France - December 2022

I don't know if there's anything more French than a crepe.  And there is no better place than this little off-the-beaten-path creperie at 19 Rue Daguerre, Le Belle Ronde Craperie. They offer a ton of sweet and savory recipes to choose from.  I went sweet (obviously), topped with lemon curd, fresh strawberries and Chantilly cream. Wow. Just wow.  I've even had my favorite breakfast spot at home adapt their french toast to a version of this, that's how good it is. The cocoa comes out piping hot, very chocolately, with the just the right amount of sweetness.  It's not fancy but it is divine. If you're in the Paris 75014 (near the catacombs) this is a must!  We were told by our private catacomb tour guide that all creperies are not the same and this is the one she always recommends - and she was on the money! Bonus: the little street/alley that it's situated on has a ovely market of fresh produce and a yummy boulangerie. (And yes, we took home tasty treats.
